Early 20th Century Clifford Bowl Back (Neapolitan) Mandolin with original chipboard case.
This vintage Clifford mandolin features the classic bowl-back construction with beautiful multi-stave back, decorative floral pickguard, mosaic purfling, oval soundhole, and original friction tuners. It retains its vintage character with honest cosmetic wear from over 100 years of age.
The original "Imported Clifford" warranty label remains inside the body, and the instrument still includes its original period chipboard case.
Cosmetically, the mandolin shows normal finish wear, scratches, and playwear consistent with its age. The bowl back has some finish loss and scuffs but remains attractive overall. Please examine all photos carefully for condition.
A wonderful addition to any vintage mandolin collection, folk instrument display, or early 20th-century music memorabilia collection.
Includes original vintage chipboard case.
