Hello and welcome to The House of Chrome.
You are looking at a classic Shure model microphone known as the 545SD model that was sold sometime during the late 1970's or mid 80's and was the industry standard having excellent tone and used for a variety of purposes. It comes with the older Shure A-25 model mic clip and mic cable shown in which to operate.

The 545SD originally came out in the 1970's and was initially an American made model but it was eventually made in Mexico around the mid to late 1980's. The mic is still built today but I believe it's been made in China for the past 25 years and is called the 545SD-LC. This is the early American made example and by far the most desirable.

This 545SD has been thoroughly gone over and cleaned. It's quite nice and works like new. The 545SD is an absolute work horse and they tend to hold up very well despite being decades old.  Pic # 2 shows this very mic in a 1980's Shure catalog showing the 545SD as well as a few other 545 variants being manufactured and sold along with their characteristics. The 545 series mic was a very rugged and reliable model mic that holds up well with time and use.

If you are looking for a mic with excellent tone and frequency response for singing and broadcasting then this example will certainly foot the bill. Excellent uni-directional characteristics as well. Probably the most popular and certainly one of the most rugged mics ever developed in the past 40 years.  As you can see the mic itself is in very nice overall physical condition. The satin chrome absolutely glows. No scratches, scuff marks or pitting. The black plastic cartridge shows just a couple tiny scuff marks but it's free of fractures or  scratches. The Shure label shows no wear and completely legible.

The front screen is free of tarnish, dents or odors but the original foam inner pop filter was replaced as it was completely gone from older age. If you buy an older 545, 545S, 545SD or 545L model mic it's crucial that the old foam pop filters are replaced to get the best sound performance from this mic.
The 545SD comes with the on / off switch and the switch works perfectly. No issues. The cosmetic condition of this mic is an easy 9 + on a scale of 1 - 10.

Mic takes a standard XLR cable and one is provided. It's a very nice newer Neutrik cable that's appx 5 feet long. Soft, pliable and works perfectly. I cleaned the XLR pins on the mic and cable as they were tarnished and now you'll get a perfect signal once a cable is attached.  I'd rate the cosmetic condition of the cable a true 9 + on a scale of 1 - 10 and the mic gets a 9 + for sure. It's extremely nice for being 50 + years old.  The older Shure A-25 mic clip works perfectly giving you a firm grip on the mic with a wide range of tilt. The clip looks excellent and the tension in the joint mechanism is adjustable via side screws.

I sold all of my other 545SD mics the past week and this is the only one I have to offer currently.

This mic is ready to go!
