Highly desirable vintage 1974 Martin D-35 dreadnought acoustic. Features AAA grade spruce top, Indian rosewood back & sides, mahogany neck, ebony bridge & fingerboard with pearl dots & original Grover machine heads.

1974 was the highest production number for the Martin D-35 with the Nazareth plant pushing out more 35's than any other model. This one has been well loved, with a very solid neck reset in the past; the action is very low for a non-truss rod Martin of this vintage & intonation is thankfully dead on.

With bellowing lows and thick midrange, the D-35 is the grand-daddy of all the standard Martin range thanks to it's 3-piece rosewood back, non scalloped bracing and solid spruce soundboard.

Made in USA.

This guitar in particular is a fantastic player with a low action (2.4mm on the bass side, 1.9mm on the treble) and really great sounding dread.

There has been a pickup installed in the past however has been removed, a strap pin installed at the heel and some fantastic finish checking on the top. Although this one has been played in, there has been very little fret wear and still quite enough room in the saddle (albeit, it has been taken down within the last 50 years) if you wish to string with a heavier gauge (currently setup expertly with D'Addario EJ26 11-52's).

Great player. Fantastic sound and a low action so no requirements for a neck reset anytime soon. Perhaps one of only the vintage Martin's available in the country that doesn't need any extra work.
