A decade plus before the recreation of Greeny as a Gibson Custom Shop Kirk Hammett release, we had the Collectors Choice series, and this is the beloved Collectors Choice #1, known then as the Melvyn Franks Les Paul. This 2010 model is part of the VOS series which recreated the 1959 Les Paul passed down from Peter Green to Gary Moore and then owned by collector Melvyn Franks in a VOS version. Only 300 of which were made, and this is #123. This particular guitar has a stunning flame maple top, the signature set of Burstbucker humbuckers with the reverse-mounted and out-of-phase wound neck pickup and a set of Sperzel tuners. The guitar is still very clean with no wear to be seen on it, and it includes the original case with the certificate of authenticity
