Up for sale is a Revive Audio Modified: Sm Pro Audio PR8E- eight channel mic preamp that is in good shape and sounds excellent with the modifications.

These cool preamps offer 8 preamps with great flavor and tone at a price that is surprising and rivals designs costing twice as much.
The first thing we do is modify the preamp and output sections with premium Burr Brown high performance opamps for maximum bandwidth and headroom AND low noise coupling capacitors with some value tweaks.
The entire power supply section is then overhauled and modified for better longevity, lower noise and better current delivery for the hungry new opamps. We also raise the rail voltage from 15v to 18v for a total of 8db more headroom with the other augmentations.
The headroom and bandwidth are significantly increased after the modifications and turn these popular little studio interfaces for the home into creative monsters for any studio.
This is one of our wonderful mods that represents an excellent value and sounds great on a number of different sources.
With 60db of gain on tap they are akin so say an API 312 but transformer less.
Keep in mind that for some drum sources you may need a pad which these do not have so an inline pad may be needed as close miking can generate some seriously high SPL.
