A beautiful ACE-TONE  EC-20 tape echo. #596887

This is in wonderful condition! The Ace Tones have such classic style in my opinion. They sound great with a total of 6 heads. They also sound great as just a pre-amp. This is the precursor to the Roland space echo. The sliding controls offer unique echo possibilities.  These have lots of internal pots to really tailor the sound to your liking. 

I found this almost as you see it. It was clearly well cared for its entire life. The heads are fantastic. This is in amazing condition inside and out, I opened it up, hit the pots and switches and lubricated tne bearings, cleaned all the jacks, demagnetized the heads. It has a voltage selector on the back and can run on any voltage from 100v to 240volts. It comes with 3 spare tapes and a couple cleaning ribbons.  See internal pics. -This is nice! A couple minor scratches on the deck but overall excellent-See pics.

As with all of these, I don't really notice a huge difference when the treble toggle is switched either way. It is there but not a great amount of change. The sound floor increases as the echo volume increases. Throughly enjoyable as it is but a re-cap at some point would make this thing sound even more amazing. It is still running all original caps.
