The TC Helicon VoiceTone X1 adds some dirt and grit to the VoiceTone line of vocal-oriented stompboxes, producing grinding distortions and megaphone effects with a wide range of tones. Dial in warped drive sounds and sweep the filter to limit the bandwidth, creating unique "telephone" tones, or push up the intensity for one section of a song with convincing amp sounds. TC Helicon's MP-75 handheld microphone lets you remotely engage and bypass the VoiceTone X1 at the mic, letting you roam away from the pedal but still control the effect.
