Description Hello and thanks for looking!
For sale I have an Ibanez SR805FF 5 string fanned fret, multiscale bass in fantastic condition. Includes RoadRunner gig bag. There are no dings, cracks, deep scratches, or any other damages. Under close scrutiny you can find some light scuffing in the expected areas.
It was Ibanez's first production fanned fret bass and is no longer in production.
The wood grains on the body and general aesthetic are gorgeous. The jatoba/bubinga neck is another standout visually.
Sound-wise the Bartolini pickups deliver and the extensive on-board EQ options can take you from smooth, thick lows to snappy, slap bass territory easily. The extended scale length is most certainly a big part of the sound providing extra string tension and clarity. I'm convinced every bass (and guitar) should be multiscale.
