Gibson Burstbucker 2 Pickups

The original pickups have been replaced with a matched set of gold Gibson Burstbucker 2 humbuckers.

These pickups are among Gibson's most respected PAF-inspired designs, delivering:

  • Rich midrange
  • Excellent dynamics
  • Open and articulate highs
  • Strong sustain
  • Outstanding touch sensitivity
  • Classic vintage Gibson character

Combined with the mahogany construction and ebony fingerboard, they provide a powerful, articulate and highly musical voice suitable for blues, classic rock, hard rock and beyond.

Condition

The guitar is in very good vintage condition.

The original pickups have been upgraded to Gibson Burstbucker 2 humbuckers, and the hardware has been replaced with newer genuine Yamaha gold hardware.

The instrument shows normal signs of use expected from a 40+ year old guitar, including scratches, dents and cosmetic wear.

A previous owner added decorative abalone-style appliqués around the top edge and as two stripes running across the body. These modifications are purely cosmetic and do not affect playability, structure or tone.

The neck is straight, the truss rod functions correctly, and the frets remain in very good condition.

Electronics operate exactly as they should.
