While it's not an amp or overdrive pedal, the Benson Delay proves that they're more than capable of engineering any type of pedal and achieving wonderful results. Like many other great pedals, this Delay is based on the famous PT2399 chip. However, Benson has placed much care in how signals are conditioned throughout the pedal, that this Delay transcends beyond your expectations of how this delay chip should sound. Delay times range from 30ms to over 1.2 seconds, allowing you to cover the range of chorus and slapback to long, decaying echoes. Of course, you can set times manually, but nifty circuitry has been implemented to allow the PT2399 to accept tap tempo from the dedicated Tap/Hold switch. Hold this switch down to blast off into space with feedback swells, and crank up the LFO speed and depth for seasick warbles. Choosing a delay pedal by an amp maker might not be your first thought, but the same thoughtfulness and care in design translate into the Benson Delay, and the results are remarkable.
