About This Model

The Lyngdorf BW-2 is a compact active subwoofer built around a 10-inch long-throw driver with a deep anodized aluminum cone and a 50mm voice coil, powered by a 400-watt RMS Class-D amplifier. Its sealed 14-litre MDF cabinet extends down to 25 Hz and, in standard Line In mode, covers up to 200 Hz with a variable crossover adjustable between 60 and 200 Hz. A Bypass mode expands the upper limit to 800 Hz, allowing the BW-2 to operate as a true boundary woofer when paired with compatible Lyngdorf amplifiers - a genuinely unusual capability at this cabinet size. Controls include phase adjustment from 0 to -180º, a level dial, and an auto-on option, all accessed via a single RCA mono input. Maximum output is rated at 106 dB SPL, and the whole unit weighs 14.4 kg in a 44 × 32.5 × 17.2 cm footprint.
