The SS-1, a strictly limited-edition custom model from MGK Order featuring a stop tailpiece.
The Deluxe model features a hard maple top and a Madagascar rosewood fingerboard.
With its long-scale maple neck and stop tailpiece, the SS-1 series stands out from other ST models in more ways than one.
The Deluxe model features a hard maple top and Big Leaf Mahogany, a variety of the same species as Honduran mahogany.
Furthermore, the fingerboard is crafted from rare Madagascar rosewood, making this a model that maximizes the wood’s inherent potential. The hard maple displays distinctive grain patterns, adding even more character.
Lightweight woods have been selected for the solid-body construction, and the newly developed back-mounted RS joint delivers a rich body resonance. The newly developed Versa pickups produce a sound that is both modern and vintage.
A pin switch was deliberately chosen for the pickup selector. In addition to turning each pickup on and off, it allows all three pickups to be engaged simultaneously—a feature not available with a standard toggle switch. Combined with the rear pickup’s coil tap, you can find your preferred combination and use it as a preset, or conveniently switch combinations to add a unique touch during recording sessions.
This model features a Lemon Drop finish, similar to Honey Burst. While this is a popular color for LP models, on an ST-style body, it also evokes the image of a high-end brand from New York.
The back and neck are finished in cherry, just like LP models, but it’s a wonderful touch that they’re finished in the same color despite the difference in materials between the neck and body.
To make the most of the color scheme, this is Kz Guitar Works’ first model to feature an all-lacquer finish, meticulously applied from the base coat up.
This specification allows you to enjoy the changes in sound and appearance that come with age, offering the pleasure of long-term use.
This guitar features a top made of hard rock maple, characterized by its distinctive flecks and grain, paired with a rich, dark Madagascar rosewood fingerboard. Another appealing feature is its well-balanced weight, achieved by using lightweight mahogany despite the solid construction.

Kz Guitar Works SS-1 Series
An exclusive order for MGK (Miyaji Guitars Kanda).
Developed alongside the Kz Versa, the Kz Guitar Works SS-1 Series is a special model that incorporates the specifications of the ST model we had long envisioned at our shop.
Paying homage to the US-1 once sold by Company G, it recreates the all-maple top and mahogany back that was not possible at the time.
We have selected Big Leaf Mahogany, a variety of Honduran mahogany, as our premium wood. Furthermore, we have chosen a TOM bridge and aluminum tailpiece to ensure the wood’s natural characteristics are not compromised. The unique sound resulting from the top wood is another highlight to enjoy.
*The SS-1 Standard features a mahogany body.
The use of a TOM bridge allows for a neck angle similar to that of a set-neck guitar, offering a playing feel and string tension distinct from conventional Strat-type guitars. The sound benefits of the newly developed reverse-mounted RS joint are also not to be missed.
The newly developed Kz Versa pickup, equipped with a coil tap, offers versatility suitable for everything from cutting to solo playing.
The Kz Guitar Works SS-1 is a special series crafted by Kz Guitar Works—a company renowned for its guitar-making skills, officially endorsed by Queen guitarist Brian May—using a generous amount of carefully selected wood.
This model will evoke nostalgia for those who lived through the heyday of 80s super-Strats, while offering a fresh appeal to modern players. If you’re looking for a Strat-style guitar that stands out from the crowd, this is definitely an option worth considering.
