La Hiwatt Bulldog 440 è una testata per basso in classe D da 400 watt di potenza. Dotata del preamp originale Bulldog 440, aggiunge un EQ grafico attivabile via switch posizionato sul pannello frontale che permette di modellare il suono con precisione. Sul retro sono presenti, oltre alle uscite speaker, un'uscita jack di linea e un'uscita XLR bilanciata con switch per attivare il Ground Lift. Nel pannello frontale, oltre all'equalizzatore, sono presenti uno switch per scegliere il tipo di ingresso a seconda che si utilizzi un basso con pickup attivi o passivi, uno switch Limit e i controlli Gain, Bass, Treble e Master. Completa le caratteristiche l'ingresso AUX. La costruzione rende questo amplificatore robusto e adatto al palco.
