I bought this 1967 amp from a guy I met who bought it new back in the 60s, but then sometime in the 80s decided he wanted a 'head' instead of a combo....so he took the original cabinet and cut the bottom half off to make it a head unit. LOL The 80s were a crazy time!
I bought a vintage early 70s Princeton cabinet off eBay and it was a perfect fit. well....obviously some cosmetic details (grillcloth shade, interior label and 'fender logo') werent correct to 67, but the fit and overall style were perfect. I installed a new Jensen speaker and this amp has served me well for years. I had the amp serviced somewhat recently, and the work was done expertly and clean as you can see by the interior shots. The details that make the tone of these original princeton reverbs iconic like the famous 'blue caps' are still rockin, as are the original OT and reverb TF. The power TF was replaced as is shown.
The Transformers date to late 66, but the chassis is early 1967 which is typical.
This amp works and sounds amazing and is ready for the next 60 years!
I have this priced accordingly, its a vintage classic, but not a museum piece.
