Celestion Gold Speaker 12 inch 8ohm - Very Good Condition

This was originally purchased from Sweetwater. I tried it out in an extension cab and simply did not gel with the sound.

Notes: The cone edges are frayed where the 4 screws went through. This happens to any speaker that is installed. The paint on the rim near the screw holes is scuffed from the nuts. There is a small surface scuff/dent on the inside cone (see picture). This has no effect on the sound. Also, there is some slight wear on the outer rim foam. See all pictures for condition.

The speaker itself functions perfect and sounds great. I read plenty of reviews stating this speaker was warm and smooth. Not really hearing that to be honest.

This is a bright speaker. Never shrill or ice picky, but bright and detailed. Kind of like a V30 without the harshness. It has a chewy midrange when driven and a good deal of tight low end thump. Great for classic/modern rock and cleans. I tried this with a JCM 800 and Deluxe Reverb. It sounded best with the Deluxe Reverb.

I understand the hype with this speaker, but it was just not for me. This probably needs a few more hours to fully break in.
