Since I’m a private seller/collector and not a retailer, Reverb only allows items to be described as “Excellent“ condition at best. I bought the drum new this past February from a local authorized Gretsch dealer. Due to some unexpected, life changing circumstances occurring shortly after buying it, I never even got around to unpacking it. I finally opened it on the date of this listing so I could perform my due diligence and inspect it for defects (none were found) - along with taking photos of the actual drum instead of using stock images.

Description: 14x8 inch, 16-ply Mahogany/Maple hybrid shell (8 plies each). At its core is 8-plies/8mm of Maple, sandwiched between two (2) 4mm plies of Mahogany. Features: • Smooth 30° bearing edges • Gretsch/Remo heads.• 20-strand Tilco snare wires with brass endplates.• Chrome plated hardware, including; 10-hole, 2.5mm triple flanged hoops - thicker than a standard 2.3mm without the added mass of a 3mm - designed for added stability and durability capable of withstanding frequent rim shots.• Capping it all off is a classy, sharp looking gloss lacquer finish - not a wrap - highlighting the drum’s natural wood grain.

Higher quality, slightly used coated white batter heads available at no extra cost (not depicted). Save the added time/money. Options: Remo Controlled Sound, Remo Ambassador, Evans G1, Evans Genera HD Dry.

MSRP is $399. The GC/MF conglomerate currently has them marked down to $349 and free standard shipping. Otherwise, they retail for $379-$429, depending on the dealer. I’ll match the free shipping for lower US 48 residents.
