Percussive sibling of the highly prized TB-303, the Drumatix is a cute analogue drum computer from 1982, quickly becoming a cult classic in its own right. The kick, snare and hats have a character that's a bit lighter and snappier than the bigger Roland boxes of the era, making it a favourite for post-punk, industrial, acid and IDM.
Everything here is analogue, featuring sequencing with accents, pattern chaining and DIN sync. Used by everyone from Aphex Twin and Autechre to Nine Inch Nails, Massive Attack and The Sisters of Mercy.
