Up for sale, a 2021 Wreck Blue Morpho 8 in showroom-clean, 100% original condition and in perfect working order, complete with hangtags and a custom aluminum flight case. Handmade by Croatian luthier Danijel Kopjar, Wreck guitars feature premium tonewoods, electronics, and construction techniques, built around a proprietary technique known as the Wreck Pyramid System (WPS). Inspired by a loudspeaker with pyramids arrayed in the back of the speaker box to mitigate sound coloration via uncontrolled harmonic resonance, Kopjar’s guitars are based on semi-hollow designs. The interior of these instruments are filled with carved pyramid blocks to ensure “crystal clear, modern and detailed” sounds, effectively achieving an idealized middle ground between semi-hollow and solid bodies, with the resonance of the former balanced by the stability and neutrality of the latter.

This eight-string Blue Morpho features a walnut body, bookmatched padauk top, seven-piece walnut/padauk neck, and 24-fret ebony fingerboard with fanned frets. True to Kopjar’s word, this guitar has an excellent natural resonance with a cutting clarity, qualities channeled through the pair of Lundgren M8 humbuckers. Known for their combination of power and detail, the Lundgren M8s are an extremely influential open 8-string pickup, first introduced in 1999. These pickups feature a unique winding and a ceramic magnet placed beneath the pickup, resulting in “more of everything,” with focused-yet-aggressive lows, punchy trebles, and dense harmonics. This Blue Morpho weighs 8lbs 3oz, professionally setup here at Mike & Mike’s Guitar Bar with 10-74 strings, low action, and accurate intonation.
