This listing is for a six string guitar pickup, if you're interested in a bass pickup, there is one available in my shop at the time of writing.
Here's something you don't see every day: A NOS hand-wired Dan Armstrong low-impedance Humbucker pickup with matched transformer from the 1960s. The few of these that Dan made either had their doggy ears chopped off so that they could be installed in one of his london series sliding-pickup guitars or went to a handful of top Luthiers who consider them to be the gold standard solution for adding a pickup to a high end Acoustic or Archtop guitar without affecting the instrument's acoustic sound.
Nowadays, you're more likely to be familiar with the Kent Armstrong pickups that continue Dan's Legacy.
This one comes from a handful purchased by one of these top Luthiers in the 60s; This person swears by this pickup and the vast amount of situations it excels in due to its 43 gram (or 1.5oz) weight and 8mm thickness (5/16ths of an inch, I apologise for the metric ruler in the photo).
I'm shipping these from New Zealand via DHL and have so far not had any issues sending to the united states, canada, UK or Japan. Import fees and tariffs for the U.S. do not apply as the pickup was made in the USA and will be declared as such. The cost of shipping is included in the price of the listing. If there are any issues with the pickup I'm happy to sort out a return.
