This is a rare orchestral set of Silva-Bet silver plated clarinets in B flat and A. They were made in Boston, MA and the "S" stamped before the serial numbers refers to these being from the first series produced at a total of 5000 individual clarinets. The remaining S-series clarinets are relatively rare but I have not found any examples of original orchestral sets being sold together which makes this a very unique item. Interior of the case is in very good condition. The exterior has some wear and the handle is missing but the latches still work. The crystal mouthpiece is intact but has a crack in it. The lyre is original and produced by the same company. Both clarinets have been inspected by an instrument technician and all of the keys work and none are seized or stick but they do need new pads.
