Here you have two Steve Weiss almglocken in excellent condition; a D#4 (minor third above middle C) and a C5 (one octave above middle C).
The D#4 has an audible D4 harmonic and the C5 has an audible B5 harmonic. The sound and sustain is great and both bells are in excellent condition with no damage.
Almglocken, sometimes referred to as tuned cowbells or alpine bells, are steel bells tuned to specific pitches and finished in a "gold colored" crackle finish. Sometimes they are painted. The clappers have been removed so the bells are generally played with mallets. These bells can be mounted in a wide variety of ways to form chromatic almglocken sets or to add pitch specific colors to drum sets, percussion ensembles and orchestras.
