Vintage 1959 Bogen Challenger model CHA33 tube amplifier....
Amplifier is approx 30 watts. Powered by 2 6L6GC power tubes, 2 12ax7 preamp tubes, a 6AV6 preamp tube and dual 5y3GT rectifiers.
Amplifier has been modified for easy use with guitar. It has two channels. one channel has a 1/4" jack and the other has the original vintage microphone jack input. Amplifier has been updated with a jewel lamp on the faceplate, 1/4' jack for guitar input and 1/4" Jacks on the back for speaker. It has also received a new 3 prong power cord.
Amplifier looks to have had some capacitors serviced in its history but they look to be old. Amp is currently working well as is but I can not guarantee vintage electronics. Sold as is with no warranty. Guaranteed to arrive in working order but no guarantee or warranty after that. Vintage electronics may need servicing if you plan to use on a regular basis.
Amp sounds great with guitar. Its a very loud amp for the wattage and has good headroom. Turn it up and you can get some nice overdrive.
Cosmetically the amps show normal wear for the age. This may include paint wear, scratches, corrosion or other defects. Please see pictures for details.
