This Fender Jazzmaster was made in the USA in 1962. It is a fantastic slab-board example that plays and sounds great. The body has been refinished a burnt copper color, likely shortly after the guitar was original sold as the wear patterns and patina look totally authentic. We think the original sunburst finish is beneath the copper and a coat of white that seems to be in the middle - but are not sure. The finish on the neck and decal are original. The parts are all original except it has been refretted. There are remnants of some lettering from black marker on the top - perhaps old autographs, but we are not sure. This guitar weighs just under 8 pounds. It has been pro-setup in our store, plays great, and comes with the original case.
