A vintage 1941 pre-war C.G. Conn 4D single French horn in F, made in Conn’s original Elkhart, Indiana factory (serial #342400, verified against Conn’s serial chart). This classic American single horn was recently serviced and plays very well, with smooth rotary valve action and good response throughout the range. It shows the honest wear you’d expect from an 85-year-old instrument: good overall shine with some discoloration and lacquer wear in spots, plus light wear to the keys and caps. Includes the original case with its purple plush lining and leather strap, as well as an Eb slide to drop the horn into Eb for older band parts. A ready-to-play piece of brass history.
