Hoyer 50604 is a Gibson Marauder style guitar made in Germany in the 70's and it's really a rare instrument. However this is a guitar that wants to be played....and hard!! More pictures soon!
This Hoyer 50604 ( Gibson Marauder inspired ) is now updated with Switchcraft/CTS electronics and DiMarzio pickups, but all original parts are available if You want to restore it to original condition!
Solid mahogany guitar, rosewood fingerboard and bolt-on neck. In my opinion, the neck is soft V -> C, but not too fat.
Normal wear from playing but no major dings or scratches can be found on the guitar. Nice thin body (NOT swimming pool routing like Gibsons) and weighs only 3.4kg.
Low action and still a lot of life in the frets, crowning might be a good thing to do, but it still sounds clean like it is. The weak point in these guitar is the electronics, but as stated the original pots and pickup selector + the pickups are now replaced. With the original pickups the guitar has a distinctive vintage roots sound. The guitar is a dream to play!
