Up for sale is a used ART (Applied Research and Technology) PD3 1000 Professional Delay System. Engineered in the USA to demanding professional touring and commercial installation standards, this 1U rackmount unit is a highly respected utility tool built for ultra-precise time alignment.

The PD3 1000 is a mono-input, 3-output (tri-tap) high-performance digital delay line. It is highly sought after by pro-audio technicians for time-synchronizing distributed speaker arrays in large commercial venues, aligning satellite delay towers at music festivals, or ensuring phase-linear time alignment in broadcast, television engineering, and multi-room facility distribution systems.

Condition Notes:

This unit is in Good Used Condition and is fully operational.

• Performance: All three discrete output signal lines adjust cleanly. The front-panel input/output attenuators turn smoothly, and the signal/clip LED level meters respond accurately.
• Cosmetics: Shows typical cosmetic signs of standard pro-audio rack use over the years. The front faceplate looks very presentable, with minor edge scuffs, light surface scratches, and standard rack-rash on the top and bottom of the metal housing from installation (please see all detailed photos).

While the standard PD3 caps out at 255ms, this specialized PD3 1000 model multiplies the delay capability by four, providing up to a full 1,000 milliseconds (1 second) of total delay time.

• In normal operation, each of the three outputs (A, B, and C) can be individually dialed in using the front-panel binary DIP switches in precise 4ms increments.
• For specialized, near-field driver alignment within a speaker cabinet array, an internal short-delay jumper switch flips the unit into micro-alignment mode, scaling the steps down to ultra-fine 125 microsecond ($\mu s$) intervals.
