*I‘m marking this amp in fair condition due to is cosmetics, crack in the cabinet near the chassis mounting bolt, and I cannot find the original speaker cable jack so I’ve wired up something I had laying around. The amp functions perfectly but the cabinet has been through a lot.

I’ve been dreading posting this for sale but I’m completely out of room at home and letting a lot of prized gear go. This is my second Golden Melody and I believe these amps to be one of the most unique, wonderful, and inspiring amplifiers that ultimately feel like plugging into an instrument in itself. Of the two I had I did prefer this one quite a bit, most specifically the volume knob had a much more usable range in the first half of dial and secondly the reverb sounded much better for whatever reason. This one was originally built for Nick Moss and his name is the serial number for this one. These amps are basically like playing a low powered tweed twin with the harmonic tremolo from a brown Super and add a reverb better than any blackface Fender I’ve owned. The reverb and tremolo circuit are the same found in the Victoria Reverberato which sells for about what I have the entire amp listed for. I find myself always playing less notes with this amp and really just listen to them sing through the amplifier.

I’ve had different speakers in here but had gone back to the originals awhile ago. I wasn’t missing anything but just experimenting, and the originals just feel and sound perfect to me. The wiring between the speakers is original but as mentioned I’ve misplaced the original plug and cable but I’ve got something in there working just fine. The amp sounds amazing and just today when I was testing it and taking photos she was listening and told me not to sell it yet…which most of us would agree is saying a lot! It came to me years ago with the cabinet cracked by one of the chassis bolts (see photos). There is no rattle or real issue that has presented itself. The rear panel has some extra holes in it from when I had this chassis in a head and turned this into a speaker cab. There is still a jack cup in the large hole as shown. The badge on the front has always been sticking out like that, I’ve never tried to bend it back. I’ve never had a footswitch for it. I planned to have this forever and I know someday I’ll get another but as mentioned I’m out of room and some stuff has got to go!

It had a cover I just threw away because it was absolutely useless now. I will include the road case it’s lived in. It’s made by Cadence and is a wonderful case that hasnt seen any real touring at all. It has stenciling on the top and both sides.

Because of the noted issues I’m posting this lower than any other one I can find for sale. Save a bunch and get a free road case too!
