Vintage 1962 Oxford 10K5-1 10" Speaker Frame - 465-244 - For Fender Amp Restoration (Needs Recone) / For Parts or Repair / As-Is / No returns

Up for sale is a vintage, original Oxford 10K5-1 10-inch speaker pulled from a vintage Fender Concert 1962/3 guitar amplifier.

The EIA date code stamped on the basket rim is 465-244, dating this unit to the 44th week of 1962. This exact timeline makes it a highly accurate, factory-correct replacement speaker for a late 1962 or early 1963 "Brownface" Fender Amp (6G2 circuit) .

Condition Details:

  • Cone: Houses the original paper cone, but it requires a full recone. It is being sold strictly "as-is" for parts or a repair project.
  • Voice Coil / Function: The speaker does not currently function properly due to the cones having sparated and is un-tested beyond visual inspection; you may need to replace the voice coil as well.
  • Frame & Magnet: The original metal basket structure is structurally sound, straight, and features the correct period-accurate factory stamps. Terminals are intact.

This is the perfect find for a collector or amp tech looking for a correct, period-stamped 1962 frame to complete a high-end vintage Fender restoration project.

Vintage 1962 / 1963 Fender / Oxford 10k5-1 Speaker. These are rare and highly sought after.

Note that this listing is for ONE Speaker ( I have 2 in total).

Selling for $400 CAD PER SPEAKER. The date codes indicate that the speakers were built in 1962.

These speakers are in need of a RECONE, Everything else appears to be fine visually.

These can not be 100% guaranteed as I have not been able to try them all out with volume. It is possible that more repairs may be required, but they look good visually.

These are a matched set of 4 taken out of a 1963 Fender Concert amplifier. (2 have already been sold)

Excellent boxes will be provided for shipping.
