1973-74 Maestro EP-3 Echoplex - Reissue Ftsw - New Tape - Just Cleaned!

CURRENT CONDITION:

General cosmetic wear and functions as intended except for the missing grommet

for "record level" control. Just cleaned/replaced spring and tape and purchased reissue

footswitch.

SPECS/FEATURES:

Solid-State Circuitry: Unlike the tube-based EP-2, the EP-3 uses solid-state technology, allowing for a more reliable, quieter operation, and the famous FET preamp.

Legendary Preamp: The 11-part circuit is renowned for boosting and coloring the signal, adding a "sweet spot" to guitar tones even when delay is not used.

Sliding Delay Control: A mechanical slider physically moves the playback head, providing delay times ranging from slapback to longer, ethereal echoes.

Echo Sustain (Feedback): Controls the number of repeats, capable of achieving self-oscillation at higher settings.

Sound-on-Sound: A unique mode allowing for looping by disengaging the erase head, enabling players to layer sounds.

Construction: Typically features a black tape transport base (common for early 70s models) housed in a laminate pine cabine
