Universal Audio LA-2A Classic Leveling Amplifier, the genuine tube-driven, T4 electro-optical opto-compressor, hand-wired point-to-point in Universal Audio's Custom Shop in the USA. This is the real thing, not a clone or a 500-series module: the single-channel 3U leveling amplifier that's defined vocal, bass, and acoustic compression for decades.

Condition: Excellent. Fully functional and sounding exactly as it should. smooth, program-dependent optical compression with that signature warmth. Both knobs (Peak Reduction and Gain) and the meter mode switch operate correctly, the tube and T4 optical cell are performing normally, and the unit powers up and passes signal cleanly with no issues. The only cosmetic note is some minor wear on the top panel from being rack-mounted, purely surface, no dents, and not visible once racked. See photos for an accurate representation.
