Part of the Shure GLX-D+ system and available as an individual component to be used as an additional or backup receiver, or as a replacement unit, the GLXD6+ is a single-channel digital wireless audio receiver compatible with the GLXD1+ bodypack transmitter (available separately). The unit is housed in a rugged metal pedalboard-ready chassis with two fixed faceplate antennas, and it features a built-in tuner with an easy-to-see display. Shure's next-generation technology automatically scans both the 2.4 and 5.8 GHz frequency ranges to seek out the best possible digital transmission channel for your performances at a typical operating distance of up to 100' indoors and 65' outside. The system transmits audio with a flat, 20 Hz to 20 kHz frequency response and 120 dB of dynamic range, leaving the sound of your instrument unaffected by the wireless components. A multi-segment LED clearly shows remaining battery life from the paired transmitter and also functions as an easy-to-read tuner. The transmitter's input gain can be wirelessly adjusted right from the receiver's front panel to optimize the audio signal. In addition to a 1/4" instrument output, the unit also features a 1/4" input, allowing you to use it as a wired tuner. A power supply is provided and the DC power input is compatible with standard positive- or negative-tip power supplies, allowing the GLXD6+ to slot right into your pedalboard. Note that even when the unit is plugged in, the display will not activate until a cable is connected to either the 1/4" output or input. A durable footswitch provides instant muting in both the receiver and tuner modes.
