The 2001 Collings SJ SB (Small Jumbo Sunburst) is a premium acoustic guitar, typically featuring a Sitka spruce top,flamed maple back/sides, and a sunburst finish. Known for a 16-inch lower bout, it delivers a clear, balanced tone with strong mids, suited for fingerstyle and strumming. This Collings (from the hand-on Bill Collings era) has a beautiful balanced tone with punchy lows and crystal highs. There is moderate play wear a few honest dings and some random minor finish checking, but all of the blemishes are hard to see until up close, and no major dings or scratches.
The construct is Sitka spruce top, European flame maple back & sides, ebony board & bridge with MOP inlay and 1 11/16″ nut, 25.5" scale (complete spec sheet in listing). Even Collings doesn’t make them like this anymore, Setup superbly and comes with HSC and professionally installed K&K pickup..
