In all honesty I had the opportunity to upgrade my device to the newer screen but decided against it because I genuinely thought the type would be too small for me. (The display is only 7/16" high by 1 1/2" wide.) Also I never had a problem understanding the visual feedback from the original display. I bought the unit brand new in 2020, it's in great shape, and I've never had any issues with it. Let me know if you have any questions.
