How's it going! You're looking at a 1981 Ibanez Artist Series AR-100 Cherry Sunburst Electric Guitar Made in Japan!!
Crafted in 1981 at the legendary FujiGen Gakki factory in Japan, this artist series Ibanez electric guitar is widely regarded as one of the finest double-cutaway guitars ever made, rivaling and often surpassing its American counterparts of the same era. The guitar features a solid Mahogany body with a beautifully arched, Flame Maple top in a classic Cherry Sunburst finish. The C-shaped profile of the three-piece maple neck feels comfortable in hand, not too thin but not too thick either. The guitar feels fast and stable offering a level of precision that explains why these 80s Ibanez are so legendary. Plugged in, this guitar is a sustain monster featuring the original V2 humbuckers which deliver a powerful, harmonically rich tone that thrives in overdrive but remains articulate when clean. Beyond age consistent playwear, this guitar shows moderate scratching and chipping along the back and sides of the body (See photo's provided above). Although this guitar has some cosmetic defects, this will not affect the guitars playability as all of its electronics are in working order. The neck is straight, the intonation is spot on and the action is excellent. There is some minor fret wear apparent on the top few frets but this will not affect the guitars playability. This guitar has been professionally set up with new strings and weighs in at 9 pounds, 1 ounce. This 80s artist series comes with a hard shell case and is ready for its next owner to enjoy it for years to come!!!
