For sale: A KILLER 1961 Gibson ES-330TDC in VG vintage condition, and in perfect working order. Just given a pro set up with a set of 10-46 gauge strings, this guitar plays beautifully with a straight neck, low action, and spot-on intonation.

Electronics: Loaded with two original Gibson P-90 pickups, delivering everything you’d expect from golden-era P-90s: snappy attack, fat midrange, clear highs, and a dynamic response that reacts beautifully to your picking hand and volume knob. Whether you’re chasing vintage rock, blues, or roots tones, these won’t disappoint.

Cosmetics: The original cherry finish shows consistent aging and wear in line with its vintage. Under black light, it exhibits an even, subdued fluorescence with no irregularities, supporting its originality. As expected for a 65 year old instrument, there are dings, scratches, finish wear chips, swirling and finish checking —but nothing beyond honest use. And needless to say there are no cracks or breaks. See pics for condition and please excuse any reflections.

To the best of our knowledge, this instrument is all original save for a very recent refret. The fret wire used here is 45100 Jescar which is widely considered to be most similar to what Gibson would have used originally. Overall, this guitar presents as a well preserved but played example—honest, original, and clean for its age, while carrying the undeniable character only six and a half decades of natural aging can provide.

Includes: The original brown Lifton hard case with pink lining that is adorned with a couple tasteful appliqués on the top.

This is truly an amazing instrument—the complete package. It plays beautifully, sounds phenomenal, is very resonant acoustically and has the perfect amount of honest play wear. Simply put: it doesn’t get any better than this one! And that’s no BS. This is the best vintage 330 to come through the shop, full stop.
