The Bondi Effects Sick As Overdrive 2015 Blackout Limited Edition is a rare, modified version of the flagship Sick As Overdrive. Only 150 units were produced, each uniquely serialised and packaged in a custom branded wooden box. This unit is # 098 of 150
While the standard Sick As is primarily a Klon Centaur-inspired pedal, this Blackout Edition features a circuit modified for increased gain and a different clipping structure:
- Inspired by "The National": The circuit was tuned to emulate the tones of the band The National, specifically their use of both Rat and Klon overdrives.
- Dual Clipping Voices:
- Down Position: Uses legendary germanium "horse" diodes for Klon-style clipping.
- Up Position: Utilises silicon diodes inspired by a 1985 White Face Rat, offering a more aggressive, compressed character.
- Beefed-up Gain: It offers more maximum gain than the standard circuit
I cannot overstate just how good this pedal is - it sounds so, so good. I'm honestly gutted to be selling it.
