Vintage USA Pat Pend Wilkinson/Gotoh VS100N First Generation

Up for grabs at is a genuine piece of tremolo history. This isn't your standard licensed-by-Gotoh unit or a modern M-series import. This is an original first-generation Wilkinson/Gotoh bridge, stamped with the iconic "PAT USA PEND" engraving. Produced between 1986 and 1991, these units were the pinnacle of Trevor Wilkinson’s early designs, found primarily on high-end American boutique guitars before production was simplified in Japan.

The Breakdown

• The Bridge: Features the original hardened steel baseplate with the famous "knife-edge" pivot system. These edges are still sharp, ensuring a "return to zero" pitch stability that modern budget bridges can't match
• The Saddles: Includes all six original stainless steel "locked-down" saddles. Once you set your intonation, you lock the saddle to the baseplate with the hex screw, maximizing string-to-body energy transfer and sustain.
• The Hardware: You're getting the original 2-point mounting studs and bushings. These are mission-critical for a stable install. I have also included a tremolo claw, 2 mounting screws, and 3 high-tension springs
• The Arm: While the original arm was lost to time, I’m including a high-quality non-stock chrome push-in arm that fits the internal tension collar perfectly for a "no-slop" feel

Tech Specs for the Builders:

• String Spacing: 2-1/8 (54mm) E-to-E.
• Post Spacing: Universal 52mm-63mm
• Block Depth: Approx. 40mm, fits standard 1.75" (45mm) guitar bodies.

Condition Note:This unit shows a beautiful, light vintage patina consistent with its ~35-year age. There is no heavy pitting or functional wear. The hex screws turn freely, and the threads are all clean.
