The Gold Tone GT-500 6-String Deluxe Banjitar allows guitarists to instantly achieve an authentic banjo sound without having to learn new chord shapes or fingerpicking techniques, tuning exactly like a standard six-string guitar. 

Built with a full acoustic resonator assembly and integrated electronics, this versatile instrument provides premium performance across both acoustic folk circles and high-volume plugged-in stage environments.

The acoustic power of the GT-500 stems from an 11-inch multi-ply maple rim joined to a larger 13-inch maple resonator back, all finished in a protective high-gloss natural coating. 

At the heart of its punchy voice is an 11-inch steel alloy tone ring paired with an 11-inch Remo HC smooth head, a notched tension hoop, and a Straightline tailpiece. 

For live stage performances, the banjitar comes factory-equipped with a unique Gold Tone SMP Sliding Magnetic Pickup. 

This specialised pickup delivers full-range, hum-free fidelity from the low E string up to the highest frets, allowing players to slide the pickup along the internal mounting track to fine-tune their amplified tone.

Guitar-Style Neck Geometry & Heavy-Duty Hardware

The maple neck features a player-friendly radiused rosewood fingerboard with 21 frets and intricate snowflake position inlays. 

A standard 1-11/16 inch ZeroGlide nut provides familiar guitar-style string spacing and helps eliminate string binding at the headstock, working in tandem with sealed guitar-style tuning machines with B-style buttons. 

Structural stability is reinforced by dual 11-inch internal coordinator rods and a two-way adjustable truss rod. 

The physical layout is completed by a traditional maple bridge topped with a dense ebony cap, an engraved chrome armrest, and black ABS body binding.
