This OM3 Custom is unique in that it is the only instrument we’ve built using camphor laurel. Lightweight and resonant, this tonewood acquired from Australia is similar to mahogany and has a beautiful tap tone. As an unexpected bonus, it is also the most pleasantly fragrant wood we’ve ever worked with.
A natural “Q” spruce top and elegant 3-style appointments, such as gold Waverly tuners, a chevron backstrip, and an abalone rosette, keep the aesthetic clean allowing the beautiful back and sides to shine.
