Fender's American Professional series was developed as the successor to the American Standard series, with the aim of establishing a new modern standard for professional players. The American Professional II series further refines this concept with updated specifications focused on playability, tone, and versatility.

This is a 2022 FENDER USA American Professional II Stratocaster in Black.

The Stratocaster's simple black finish has remained an iconic look throughout the history of the model. This example combines that timeless appearance with the modern specifications of the American Professional II series.

The body is made from Alder, paired with a one-piece Maple neck and Maple fingerboard. This classic combination provides a balanced tonal response with clear highs, strong mids, and a solid low end.

The guitar is equipped with three V-Mod II Single-Coil Stratocaster pickups, designed by renowned pickup designer Tim Shaw and further refined for the American Professional II series. They deliver a balanced tone that combines bell-like clarity with warmth, making the guitar versatile across a wide range of genres and playing styles.

The neck features Fender's Deep "C" profile, positioned between a traditional Modern C and U shape. The edges are carefully rolled for a smooth, comfortable feel, while the Super-Natural satin finish provides a fast and natural playing experience.

The redesigned neck heel significantly improves access to the upper frets, making high-position playing more comfortable. The guitar also features 22 Narrow Tall frets, which are taller and narrower than medium-jumbo frets. This design allows for accurate string bending and precise intonation when playing chords in the upper register.

The two-point synchronized tremolo features a cold-rolled steel block, improving sustain, clarity, and high-frequency sparkle. The bridge uses bent steel saddles and includes a pop-in tremolo arm.

The controls include a treble-bleed circuit, allowing the volume to be reduced while maintaining the guitar's tonal balance and high-frequency detail. A push-push tone control also adds the neck pickup, providing additional pickup combinations beyond the standard Stratocaster configuration.

There are a few very shallow scratches around the contour area on the front of the body, but overall the guitar shows almost no signs of use and remains in beautiful condition. The playing condition is also excellent.

The original hard case and tremolo arm are included.
