AMPTEK SR12 Rackmount Tube Spring Reverb

Initially rooted in an appreciation and affinity for early 60s Ampeg amps but evolved into its own form for studio applications, the AMPTEK SR12 is designed for mixer and DAW sends, functioning as an alway-on, 100% wet reverb. Featuring Input and Output control along with High Pass and Low Pass filters before the tank to control the reverberation character and diffusion field. Higher input gain hits the springs and tubes harder, producing an organic, thick and saturated reverb while more moderate levels provide a more delicate reverberant field. Low frequency filtering utilization helps curb low end transients with fast attack from causing "plucky" sounds, while high frequency filtering helts you help sit the reverb in the pocket of the mix and shape the response. Vintage signal path consisting of NOS JAN 12AX7 and Westinghouse 6CG7 tubes, NOS 1970s Triad input transformer and 1960 Freed Output transformer. Built point-to-point on a vintage phenolic eyelet board, designed to be serviceable forever and keep on kicking like those 65 year old Ampeg amps.
