Gorgeous vintage Melos DE-1 Echo Delay unit from I think the late 70's (maybe early 80's). Guitarists used these a lot as preamps as the input chip saturates beautifully - adding very musical warmth and focus to the audio signal - as it does with synths / vocals etc and indeed at mix stage. These units were used a lot by the reggae commnity not only for the sublime delay tones - but also for the screaming self oscillation you can 'play' as an instrument in its' own right. They are also a huge part of 70's and 80's synthesisor tones be it slap back space or slightly longer echo's with added feedback to create otherworldly spaces. Turn the input up to get the highly saturated echos from the radiophonic workshop. There have been a couple of input/output connector additions - one at front left and one at the back - maybe for some bespoke studio build - dunno but you don't need them as the regular jack ins and outs are there. The switch changes the input from -50db to -20db in case you're wired in to a hot desk/
Fully working - and sounding magnificent - these things will literally change the sound of any recording for the better - they just make everything more interesting (why I have 4!).
Runs on 240 volts - all the way to audio Nirvana!
