I bought this mridangam in 2004 in India, it's been through a lot of use and wear-and-tear, but still playable and functional. Good for beginning mridangam students or for collectors of vintage instruments.
The right drumhead (karane) has been fixed with white putty (spots photographed). The left drumhead has also been tuned with white putty. Pictures are attached.
I measured the right drumhead to be 6.25" in diameter not including the rim.
