V-Drums Quiet Design represents a groundbreaking advancement in electronic drum kits, delivering the lowest playing noise in the history of the instrument. Developed over decades of Roland testing and innovation, the V-Drums Quiet Design system—including pads, stands, and pedal bases—works together to minimize in-home playing noise and vibration transfer without compromising feel and response. Noise levels are reduced by an impressive 75% compared to conventional V-Drums kits, which were already the quietest on the market.
The KDQ-8 Kick Pad is a key part of this system, featuring a noise-reducing surface with a dense, triple-layer cushion covered in durable double-ply mesh. It’s mounted on a specially engineered floating frame designed to reduce vibrations and noise transfer to the floor. Four custom rubber feet provide added stability and further isolate vibrations, while the included KDB-Q Quiet Beater minimizes contact noise when striking the head.
