Greetings,
My name is Shannon Ericsson, and I’ve been a professional acoustical, audio, & video systems Design Engineer for over 35 years, in my professional services consulting firm, Omega Consultants. I’ve completed over 400 major AV venue projects nationally, ranging in size from a few hundred seats to over 12,000 seats. I downscaled the firm several years ago and have decided to sell some of our specialized equipment inventory at a significant discount. Therefore, I’m offering what I call my SoundLab System, and have attached a graphic with a few pictures and specifications of this very high-performance sound system.
The equipment components can be considered new, having never been installed, and having less than 30 hours of total operation. I’ve used the system to analyze and test the sonic quality & fidelity of various pro-audio components in my AV systems work over the years. The equipment components in the system are all manufactured by high-end, professional audio equipment manufacturers, including JBL, Crown, DBX-Pro, Soundcraft, T.C. Helicon, and Middle Atlantic. The system's audio quality equals or exceeds that of many top touring sound systems currently in use. This is not an “off–the–shelf” system that you can just shop for and buy—it has been specifically designed and engineered to reference and produce an exceptionally accurate sound field that easily supports any live, DJ, studio playback, or monitoring sound application.
Technically, the system is a 4-way, monophonic (not stereo) stack, comprised of a JBL horn-loaded 10” midrange, and a horn-loaded 4” high frequency loudspeaker array, in a ported cabinet—A dual JBL 12” low frequency loudspeaker array in a custom designed, B-4 aligned ported enclosure—And also includes a single JBL 18” High–Power subwoofer in a ported cabinet. Because the mid & high frequency sections are both horn-loaded, the sound field is exceptionally clear for all music and speech programs, and will focus sound out to a significant distance while maintaining sound field clarity and quality. It has also been specifically designed and tuned to sound very full and musically robust, even at low listening levels.
The system is capable of generating significant volume levels and will produce a very high-quality sound field, indoors or outdoors, for an audience size ranging from just a few to well over 500 people. The DBX Pro Venue 360 DSP has been programmed to optimize the sound field for this 4-way pro audio sound system. The Soundcraft GBR2 analog mixer handles 16 channels, with 6 auxiliary sends, including a separate T.C. Helicon vocal & FX processor, and will support a band, choral or music ensemble, full church ministry, or youth group, or a tier-one recording studio—all with very high-quality sound reinforcement.
My original cost to engineer these audio components into a high-end system exceeded $17,200.00. I’m asking $3,0000.00 for the system as is. The system is complete, with a limited wiring interface, and is ready to install. I’m offering the system locally in the Western Washington area, near my home in Olympia. I can also provide technical assistance in setting up the system at your facility. Please review, and if interested, contact me to arrange a demonstration. If you hear this system, you will be impressed and very likely amazed.
