If you're looking, you probably already know what this is....
Up for grabs is a 'T1511' 1972 G12M 25w Greenback speaker, 55hz with the bass resonance Pulsonic cone (102/14). I've just removed this and two others (sold) from their original Marshall '1935' 4x12 cabinet of the same year where they've always lived.
This is the 'bass' version of the infamous holy-grail T1221 Greenback that started it all (also have one for sale in another listing), but has a little less mid-punch and more depth. Very sweet sounding speakers, respond especially well with single coil Stratocasters which are already quite trebley on their own. Humbuckers still sound phenomenal too, but need a slight bass cut and treble push on the amp.
The speaker was part of a matched quad dated 'HE', so August of 1972. The stamp doesn't include a day code which is odd, but only a 'V'. Please see photos.
Please note the 75hz label; Celestion didn't make 55hz M labels until the Greyback/Creamback era, so all 55hz Ms have 75hz labels. Good ol' 70s QC!
Its in perfect working order with no rubbing of any kind, no rips tears or blemishes. I only have one of these left as I'm blending pulsonic speakers in this cabinet, 2 Ms and 2 Hs (55hz & 75hz), so this one is surplus.
I'm based in Leicestershire UK if collection is preferred, but can post strictly using a tracked service & with full insurance. Please contact for a quote.
Thank you for your interest,
Cheers
