This is thanks to the Sitka spruce top that sits on a body of mahogany, for a full and complex tone.
The guitar is finished in a satin Black Smoke finish that is rich and elegant, and lets the wood vibrate freely and age naturally.
The amazing top is framed by a classic cream binding. 
The natural projection here is very good, but should you need to reach the back of the hall this Martin comes equipped with the Matrix VT preamp system.
This system has the volume, tone, and Enhance controls in the soundhole for easy reach and a clean look.
The 14-fret neck is cut from mahogany with a modified oval profile for superb comfort.
The fretboard is rosewood, as is the bridge.
