Great snare! Cool setup. Hypersensitive. Ingenious strainer system allows the cord/strap anchor/pivot to be raised or lowered independent of snare tension. Early Grover/nickelworks/trick style throw.
Remo diplomat top, Evans 300 bottom.
I believe the wires are Grover ____ “jazz”. Not sure if ”bright” or “dark”.
Very staccato sound in current configuration. Wide dynamic range. Very versatile drum. Neo-soul snap to neo-classical orchestral snare drum.
Some doofus previous owner wore divots into the snare beds (pictured) by using wire cord to mount snares through holes that they weren’t meant to go through. Miraculously, I haven‘t noticed any detrimental effects on the snare’s response or tuneability.
Holler with any questions. Enjoy!
