Just like its exceptionally popular pedal predecessor, the SansAmp RBI gives you an entire sound spectrum of the most coveted traditional and modern bass amp tones — including massively overdriven textures that typically require a complex mass of gizmos never even designed for bass in the first place. Sample settings such as SVT-style, Bassman-style, King's X-style, and Crimson-style (to name a few) are included in the owner's manual to get you started.

Most controls will feel familiar if you've used the SansAmp Bass Driver DI: Drive adjusts the overall amount of gain and overdrive; Presence brings out upper harmonic content and attack; Blend mixes your direct instrument signal with SansAmp's Tube Amplifier Emulation circuitry; and active Bass and Treble controls cut or boost ±12dB.

So What's Different About the RBI?

The SansAmp RBI steps things up with a dedicated Mid control, an individual Level control for the XLR output to optimize your signal relative to the P.A. system, and a built-in Effects Loop with a Mix 50/50 switch to configure it in series or parallel. You also get a 1/4" rear input and XLR output with selectable levels, a buffered uneffected XLR output for running a dry signal to a separate channel, a footswitch input to engage the unit, and a footswitch output to chain and toggle between two RBIs.
