One of the coolest guitars you'll ever see. This was created by a design firm (RKS) in conjunction with Dave Mason of Traffic/Derek and the Dominos/Fleetwood Mac fame. The body is metal with a chrome finish, aircraft aluminum ribs and incorporates wood throughout.
The pickup switch and volume/tone knobs are cleverly tucked away inside the body, still easy to access but it gives the guitar a super clean look. Has Sperzel locking tuners and a string through bridge.
I've used this guitar for nearly every type of session and it's so versatile. It has great sustain and resonance, drives an amp well. Using slide on this sounds so great.
Has a bit of patina on the finish that could be buffed out but I've left it alone.
RKS built guitars from 2005-2008 and they didn't make a lot of these. I've only seen one other of this model but it has a black cover plate and painted neck/headstock, not the chrome/wood finish like this one.
Comes with original case and unopened case-candy. Turns heads for sure but it's not a novelty, this thing plays so well.
